GS.x Powers Up: First 130 MW of Battery Projects Secure Land and Grid Connection

Rome — 22 September 2025 — Greenspar.x (GS.x) today announced a major milestone in its European energy-storage rollout: the company has secured both the land and grid connection for its first two Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) totalling 130 MW, both located in southern Italy. The company aims to have all land secured for the entire ~1 GW pipeline of projects across Italy by year-end.

These flagship projects form part of GS.x’s 960 MW wholly-owned BESS pipeline and are on track to reach ready-to-build status by Q3 2027. Designed as long-duration systems, they will provide critical grid-balancing capacity and relieve congestion, strengthening Italy’s renewable-energy transition.

GS.x currently holds 15 grid applications across high-demand regions, positioning the company to capture premium balancing revenues. Its development strategy concentrates on 50–99 MW projects, optimised for both 36 kV and 150 kV connections, ensuring flexibility and speed of deployment.
